At a time of profusion and diversification of mobile applications and digital platforms,UX as a design method has conquered a variety of professional fields, emphasizing the crucial importance of the user experience. Today, investing in UX has become an indispensable approach to optimizing operations and ensuring a company's innovative profitability. Translated from the English User Experience (UX), this approach to designing digital projects is representative of the new user processes brought about by the digital revolution in the development of interactive products and services transforming customer usage. Why invest in UX and what are the benefits? Today, UX has become an essential part of the ideation and innovation processes for digital products and services that are essential to a company's competitiveness.

UX: design focused on the user and his experience

When we talk about theuser experiencewe focus on the process by which an individual uses a given product or service. As a global concept, UX allows us to consider the system of use and the various obstacles and opportunities that emerge, while enabling the adaptation and refinement of a corporate strategy in the design process. From the idea of a product to its distribution, the UX method is an indispensable tool in the design and definition of user processes, based entirely on the evaluated user experience. In the process, UX designers use tools such as the Blueprint service or the Customer Journey to achieve optimum user satisfaction in interaction with the interface being created.

A comprehensive, multidimensional approach

Based on atomic design and design thinking approaches, which emphasize the experience economy rather than utilitarian technology, the UX design of relevant products and services is now based on experiential marketing. As such, UX is part of a context in which experience takes precedence over the function of technology itself, and is therefore a more global approach, bringing together under its yoke multi-dimensional dynamics: strategy, user research and analysis, design and dissemination. Thus, UX is simply about fostering user confidence in a given brand, service or product. By focusing on the user experience, a company can ensure customer loyalty that is more substantial than the product's utility.

The golden rules of UX design

Applications of the UX method can be just as diverse as the different companies and departments in which they are used. However, some general principles emerge:

-Focus on product/service simplicity and intuitiveness for a more interactive customer experience

-Provide clear information and thus encourage user confidence and company legitimacy

-Do not underestimate user testing, as it is during this essential process that potential obstacles to use become apparent, and an opportunity to improve the design arises.

-Encourage ideation by invoking a diversity of collaborators within the design project, and rely on user feedback as a viable and essential source of information.

The benefits of UX design

Beyond its simple and directive processes, entirely focused on the user, a UX approach in a company is a sure way to make it more competitive. Indeed, having an original site or personalized digital service is now commonplace within professional ecosystems. In order to remain competitive, building customer loyalty through user interaction is now an essential feature: UX will play the role of loyalty building by improving interface usability and optimized interaction. Such an interface is bound to attract a growing number of users, and therefore customers, seduced by a product/service that reflects their image. Finally UX design design will also simplify upstream company operations, making design and ideation processes more efficient and relevant.
