UX optimization can make your site or application a real growth driver for your company. Le Backyard Here's a look back at the challenges of an optimized user experience, and the methodological steps implemented by our agency as part of our UX optimization services.
UX optimization is about creating a memorable, fluid and frictionless user experience. It addresses two main challenges
Who are the users, and therefore the optimization targets?
What are the failure paths, i.e. the cases where the user doesn't achieve the result they expect (information, etc.) or that the brand expects (purchase, making contact, downloading an app, requesting a demo, etc.)?
An optimized site is one that no longer presents any friction during use, i.e. one in which we have eliminated a number of anomalies that could adversely affect the overall experience. This may involve, for example, resolving an excess of visual stimuli that leads to incomprehension on the part of the user and increased decision-making time, or even abandonment.
A UX-optimized site is therefore one in which the information and interactions (action buttons, for example) have been prioritized for the user, so that he understands the main objectives of the page and is effectively guided in his navigation.
Finally, a site with an optimized UX can be said to be easy to read: users don't have to make any effort to read the content. The elements to be taken into account include the font size of titles, paragraphs and calls to action, the volume of content, and the space reserved on each page for this volume of content. The agency 's in-depth knowledge of these subjects and its expertise in cognitive science enable it to advise on all these elements.
Whatever the product, the steps involved in UX optimization will follow the same chronology. However, the content of each step will vary according to the user context and the brand context (competitive ecosystem, value proposition, etc.), which are always unique and specific to each project.
With a view to UX optimization, the ergonomic and functional audit enables us to pinpoint elements that don't meet the accessibility and usability standards of target users. The UX audit will support various hypotheses as to the underlying issues revealed by the failure paths. The following phases will involve integrating the recommendations into a UX optimization process for your site or application.
Drawing on all the recommendations made during the audit, we co-design the various screens with you, starting from what already exists, to create an experience dedicated to your users, their expectations, their objectives and yours.
At this stage, dedicated to branding, the focus is on accessibility, legibility and contrast ratios, all with the aim of designing a site with fluid navigation.
The Le Backyard development teams are used to optimizing existing sites. Their expertise means we can advise every company on how to optimize its website quickly, efficiently and effectively.
When a site is redesigned and the user experience optimized, it's always in relation to a current state and a context likely to evolve. Over time, new imperfections may appear in the user journey, as the site evolves with new content, new targets or new products. It is therefore essential, when focusing on performance, to analyze user behavior on a cyclical basis. In other words, when a website is a growth lever for a company, UX optimization must be a long-term process. By regularly repeating the analysis of user journeys and behaviors, it's possible to spot any anomalies early on, and further improve the user experience.
